Duncan Versus the Googleys by Kate Milner is a super read, full of good humour, fantastic feats, and friendship. These are children you wish you knew and were friends with. Deftly weaving social issues in a rip-roaring tale of heroic tweens and villainous seniors.
I expected sinister, suspense and creepy and didn’t get it, instead, I got seduction, excess and multiple deaths. Yet that’s no bad thing. It was likable, an acceptable read.
I like holding books, like the smell of old books. I also like going online and reserving a book to collect at the library.
